If you are...
... then this is the right place for you!
Our famous international program brings open-minded young students together to think about the present and future of the Central and Eastern European region.
During the Summer School, internationally noted experts from Hungary and abroad will give You some insight into the most significant issues of our Region. The events also offer discussion forums where the You can exchange ideas, discuss issues and think together with the other participants about the future of the Region in today's fragile political and economic situation.
The Summer School is open for university students, who seek an opportunity to spend two weeks in a Visegrád country in an inspiring international environment. This program is a mixture of academic, social, cultural and free-time activities.
The Summer School participants can listen to lectures given by famous experts of the legal, political, economic science, and sociology also. The lectures focus on the 'hot topics' of the Central and Eastern European Region, but also deal with issues arising from the globalization, the economic crisis, or the waking superpowers of the Far-East. The topics also include the future of the European Union, the chances of the EU-candidate countries, and the opportunities of the well-educated young people of Central and Eastern Europe in today's globalizing and knowledge-based world.
Besides the academic program, the participants have the chance to learn about the rich cultural heritage of the city of Győr, Hungary and the Central-European region. The program includes sightseeing trips, cultural events as well. The visit to the thousand-year-old Abbey of Pannonhalma, the castle of Fertőd, or the historical city of Sopron is always one of the most popular activities of the Summer School.
On the so-called Cultural Evenings, participants from each country shall show the others the cultural, historical, natural beauties of their country, possibly the musical, singing and dancing traditions as well. These events help the participants understand other cultures, find the endless richness of diversity in each other, and thus develop tolerance, and a better dialogue of cultures.
