This is probably our last newsletter from 2009 I would like to take this
opportunity to wish a Happy Holiday Season for you and your families.

Some of you have noticed that there is a subtle change in the name of our
website: South America Nature Tours is the official name replacing Cactus
Expeditions. The fact that now, besides our regular tours, we are organizing
nature tours in Patagonia, orchid trips to Ecuador, as well as Bird watching
trips throughout South America. This new name is somehow more ample and
comprehensive allowing me to present my company in front of other agencies
worldwide to offer tours in South America.

In this newsletter, I am sending out some info regarding our trips for 2010.
Since it is an early planning stage I would appreciate any feedback from you
and/or possible interest, in any of these trips. Dates are not 100% fixed
yet, nor are the following trips confirmed. Once I get your feedback, I can
plan better on dates, and possibly start confirming some of the trips.

Please feel free to pass this information to anyone who might be interested,
and please let me know if you would like to be removed from our newsletter
recipient list. 

For the trip to Peru, please let me know. I have already 10 people
confirmed. I want to keep it under 14 participants. I will be buying the
train tickets soon.

Well here is the info:

1.      ECUADOR  The bromeliads and orchids of Ecuador January 2010
(ORCHIDS AND BROMELIADS)

Altitude Range: 298 to 4000 meters (977 to 13,123 feet)

Dates:   January 15th - January 28th ,  2010

Mode: All inclusive, starting and ending in Quito 

Duration: 15 days

Price: all inclusive except air fare. (min number of people = 6, max of
people 11). Prices do not include airfare to Quito and are based on double
occupancy.

2.      CENTRAL BRAZIL,  August 2010 (CACTUS AND BROMELIADS) 

We will be repeating our successful itinerary that we completed in 2007 and
2009 with some modifications to improve our trip. Great opportunity to see
cactus and bromeliads, besides some beautiful birds and incredible scenery.
(Uebelmannias, Discos, Melos, and many columnar species) and bromeliads
(Hohembergias, Encholiriums, Dyckias, Ortophytum, Cryptanthus, Neoregelias,
Achmeas, etc).

Dates:   August 4th - August 20th (trip not yet confirmed)

Mode: All inclusive, starting and ending in Belo Horizonte

Duration: 17 days

Price: $3380, all inclusive except air fare. (Price based on double
occupancy and with a minimum of 11 participants) price based on an exchange
rate of 1 dollar = 1.90 Real

3.      PERU  September 2009  (CACTUS AND BROMELIADS)  

Dates:   September 8th September 24th 2010 (confirmed trip)

Mode: All inclusive, departing from Chiclayo (northern Peru), ending in
Cuzco, [you must arrive to Chiclayo on September 8th at least, you will
depart from Cuzco September 24th)

Duration: 17 days

Price: $3380, all inclusive except air fare.  I have included now train fare
to Machu Pichu, Park entrance, and park transfer. (Price may vary if number
of people less than 10)

4.       NORTHWESTERN ARGENTINA  November 2010 (CACTUS AND BROMELIADS)  

Our classical tour in the peak of the flowering season for many Argentinean
cactus species. We will also see around 100 species of cactus in their
habitat, and over 50 species of Bromeliads (Tillandsias, Dyckias,
Deuterochonias, Achmeas, Bromelias, etc).

Dates:   November 5th November 20th  2010 (trip not yet confirmed)

Mode: All inclusive, starting and ending in Cordoba 

Duration: 17 days

Price: $ 2850, all inclusive except air fare. (Price may vary if number of
people is less than 9). 

5.      NORTHERN PATAGONIA, December 2010 (CACTUS IN THE BEGINNING OF THIS
TOUR, NATURE TOUR, WILDLIFE, PENGUINS, ETC)  

Visit Patagonia: from the foothills of the Andes and its lake district, to
the Atlantic cost and its incredible wildlife. We will be visiting 4
National Parks on the Andes (Lanin, Nahuel Huapi, Arrayanes, Los Alerces)
and Peninsula Valdez with its penguins, whales, sea lions, and orcas, in the
Atlantic Ocean. 14 days, traveling on comfortable full size bus, all
transportation, meals, park entrances and hotels included. Also, includes
lake excursion and other activities.

Dates: November 23th - December 7th 2010 (confirmed trip)

Mode: All inclusive, departing from Mendoza, ending in Trelew.

Duration: 14 days

Price: variable according to group size:

7-10    pax   :  $ 3650 p/p 

11-14  pax   :  $ 3450 p/p 

15-18  pax  :  $ 3200 p/p
